Our family has been in the flooring business for four generations, going back over 80 years to Dallas, Texas. My great-uncle started the original flooring company there. My dad picked it up as a teenager and spent the next 50 years building flooring businesses across Texas, Alaska, and Salt Lake City, including running Wood Floor Warehouse in Salt Lake for 25 years. I started doing floors with him when I was 12. My brother Wyatt started at 16. Between us we've done retail, residential, commercial, and manufacturing. We know what white oak does in a Utah winter. After all those years in the industry, I kept watching the same thing happen.
